Some weeks ago, we did post something about female soccer players imminently being included in the upcoming FIFA 16 game from EA Sports. With the hype and success that the United States women’s soccer team had recently accomplished, adding women to the long-time soccer game came up towards the end of May, and the only thing left was to figure out which among the leading female soccer players would get the privilege of being featured alongside Lionel Messi for FIFA 16. Among the names that were thrown into the mix included that of Carli Lloyd, a favorite of US President Barrack Obama and best known of course for scoring those three goals in the final match of the US against Japan. Other names include that of Hope Solo, Sydney Leroux, Megan Rapinoe and Abby Wambatch. With so many names to mention, who could possibly end up gaining the nod? After all the waiting, Alex Morgan beat out all the lovely and talented female soccer players for that honor, someone seen as the future face of the women’s national team. EA Sports have announced a batch of summer transfers for FIFA 15 Ultimate Team and the headline news is the inclusion of the likes of Petr Cech, Memphis Depay and Radamel Falcao. Even though FIFA 16 is on the way, EA are keen to keep the FIFA 15 Ultimate Team community as active as possible and in order to interest fans they've moved players to different clubs to reflect their real life transfers. EA Sports have released the latest edition of their Ultimate Team Team of the Week for FIFA 15, and the headline news is that Manchester United and Arsenal stars Juan Mata and Olivier Giroud have made the side.
Both players scored braces over the weekend to help their teams to 2-1 wins, with Mata’s coming on Sunday at Anfield against Liverpool.
The first was a lovely finish with his weaker right foot but the second was simply sensational, a scissor-kick into the far corner.

Giroud’s goals against Newcastle were instinctive finishes but they were no less important, as Arsenal kept up the pressure on champions Manchester City in the Premier League.

Sony kicks off their Easter celebrations with sales for FIFA 15

We've been advised that these won't be the only sales on offer over the course over Easter, but any sales are certainly better than none. That's what I say, anyway, but then I'm stingy and I don't like spending my money unless it's to buy chocolate.

Anyway, a press release this morning has kindly let us know that a few games have received sizeable discounts through the PlayStation Store to honour the Easter holiday. The deals are as follows:

It's not listed in the press release either, but Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes is also heavily discounted to $10.45, down from its usual Australian price of $24.95, while Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris is going for a song at $14.95.

I wouldn't pick up a second copy of Advanced Warfare or FIFA 15, but Tomb Raider and the new Lara Croft games are pretty tempting. And if you're still playing the PS3 occasionally, it might not be a bad time to bust out Demon's Souls. In case you can't or won't play Bloodborne, that is.
