FIFA 16 News Update: EA Sports To Release FIFA 16 Team Of The Year

EA Sports will be releasing the FIFA 16 Ultimate Team of the Year on January 11 during the FIFA Ballon d'Or Gala in Zurich.

Although the obvious winner of the Ballon d'Or has already being leaked, EA will let us know who the best defenders, forwards, midfielders and goalkeeper in the world was last year.

EA will be releasing special blue In-Form Player cards in FIFA Ultimate Team for all the players listed in the FUT Team of the Year.

This is the most excited time of the year to play FIFA because some of the top rated players will see their stats peaked at the highest possible. So we could see some obvious names like Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo stats going up to 97 or 98 which is insane.

EA will be releasing Goalkeepers and Defenders on January 11 with midfielders and forwards will be releasing during the week.

FIFA 16 was the best-selling game on Amazon last year

FIFA 16 was the best-selling game on Amazon last year, and the 10th best-selling item across its entire product line-up, the retailer has revealed.

While sales figures for the game have not been revealed, EA's latest football game managed to outsell Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, which landed at No.2 in Amazon's best-selling video games of 2015, and Fallout 4 at No.3.

The retailer's report also suggests that Grand Theft Auto V was the fourth best-selling game of the year, with FIFA 15 in at No.5. Sales data is said to have been recorded between January 1, 2015-December 13, 2015.

The best-selling game in the run-up to Christmas, however, (which Amazon says is based on unit sales between November 1-December 13) was Fallout 4, ahead of Black Ops 3 at No.2 and Star Wars Battlefront at No.3.

It isn't yet known which game came out on top in the UK across all retailers.

Black Ops 3, meanwhile, continues to dominate the top of the weekly UK charts, holding on to the top spot for four weeks in a row to become the first No.1 of 2016.

Some weeks ago, we did post something about female soccer players imminently being included in the upcoming FIFA 16 game from EA Sports. With the hype and success that the United States women’s soccer team had recently accomplished, adding women to the long-time soccer game came up towards the end of May, and the only thing left was to figure out which among the leading female soccer players would get the privilege of being featured alongside Lionel Messi for FIFA 16. Among the names that were thrown into the mix included that of Carli Lloyd, a favorite of US President Barrack Obama and best known of course for scoring those three goals in the final match of the US against Japan. Other names include that of Hope Solo, Sydney Leroux, Megan Rapinoe and Abby Wambatch. With so many names to mention, who could possibly end up gaining the nod? After all the waiting, Alex Morgan beat out all the lovely and talented female soccer players for that honor, someone seen as the future face of the women’s national team. EA Sports announce FIFA 15 Ultimate Team Summer Transfers

EA Sports have announced a batch of summer transfers for FIFA 15 Ultimate Team and the headline news is the inclusion of the likes of Petr Cech, Memphis Depay and Radamel Falcao. Even though FIFA 16 is on the way, EA are keen to keep the FIFA 15 Ultimate Team community as active as possible and in order to interest fans they've moved players to different clubs to reflect their real life transfers.
